Qualification

6 games entries and re-entries

60 athletes are qualified from Category A-G as follows:

A: General qualification

Athletes positioned 1-46 in the general qualification.

B: Early Bird Competition

Athletes positioned 1-7 in a separate standing for Squad 1-16.

C: Senior Competition

Senior athletes are born in 1968 or earlier.

The highest and second highest positioned in a separate standing for Senior athletes.

D: U21 Competition

U21 athletes are born in 1997 or later.

The highest and second highest positioned in a separate standing for U21 athletes.

E: Turbo-4

The athlete scoring the highest game in game 4.

F: Turbo-5

The athlete scoring the highest game in game 5.

G: Turbo-6

The athlete scoring the highest game in game 6.

Athletes are qualified in the order A-B-C-D-E-F-G.

The 60 athletes are qualified to final steps as follows

Athletes positioned 1-8 in the general standing are qualified for the Final Step 3.

Athletes positioned 9-33 in the general standing are qualified for the Final Step 2.

All other 27 qualified athletes are qualified for the Final Step 1.

The winner of match 2 and the athlete seeded 1 will play a one-game match

Tournament tie rules
Qualification

The highest positioned athlete will be the athlete scoring the highest last game. If a tie still exists, the highest positioned athlete will be the athlete with the highest second last game etc.

Turbo Competitions

The highest positioned athlete will be the highest positioned athlete after the qualification.

Ties for prize money positions in final steps

Athletes with tied scores at final tournament positions inside one of the following three group of positions, 5-24, 25-44 or 45-60, will share the sum of prize money for the tied positions equally among them.

Final Step 1-3

Ties influencing who will qualify for the next final step, and ties for any of the first 4 positions in step 3, will be broken by playing a 9th and 10th frame roll off, repeated until the tie is broken. In all other tie situations in step 1-3, a procedure similar to the procedure for the qualification will be followed.

Final Step 4

In case of a tie in a match, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken.
